For the bombastic live shows of the "Shirin David Tour 2023 and 2025", we were commissioned to score the epic tour visuals. Through cinematic sound design tour visuals, bespoke music production, and an extremely precise arena mix, we created an audio experience that acoustically captivates tens of thousands of fans in Germany's largest arenas.

Shirin David's tour visuals are no simple background videos – they are staged short films that guide the dramaturgical arc of suspense of the live show as impressive intros, outros, or interludes. The challenge in the Shirin David tour sound design was to provide these visual masterpieces with a sound that can effortlessly assert itself against the enormous volume of a sold-out arena.
As a specialised live audio production agency, we had to ensure that the basses were physically tangible in the body, without masking the clarity of dialogue, subtle sound effects, or even the band's live instruments. The audio mix could never feel flat; it had to powerfully underscore the epic, larger-than-life character of the artist.
Another enormous hurdle was the film scoring entertainment specific adaptation to the critical arena acoustics. A mix that sounds excellent in an acoustically perfect studio can quickly blur in a huge hall due to long reverberation and standing low frequencies. The sound design therefore had to be mixed from the ground up to be extremely sharp and punchy.

In order to optimally amplify the visual power of the tour visuals acoustically, we established a bespoke audio workflow for complex live environments in four essential steps:
Conception & Music Production
Initially, we analysed the visual aesthetics and the musical setlist of the show. The music production live tour elements had to transition musically and rhythmically seamlessly into the live band arrangements. We composed epic orchestral swells, profound synth drones, and driving electronic beats that drive the audience's anticipation to a climax.
Hyper-Realistic Sound Design
Every visual movement on the gigantic LED screens – from massive explosions to fine, digital glitches – was detailed with custom sounds. The sound design tour visuals were designed to translate the visual force extremely acoustically and give the viewer the feeling of being right in the middle of a real Hollywood blockbuster.
Film Scoring & Atmosphere
The interludes also contained strong narrative elements and spoken monologues. Through targeted film scoring and the creative use of enormously spatial reverb rooms, we gave the voices a tangible, intimate closeness, while the background atmospheres underlined the boundless vastness of the abstract scenes.
Arena Mix & Mastering
Probably the most important step was the final mixing and mastering for live environments. We used special low-end techniques to keep the sub-bass tight and defined, and shaped the highs so that they are reproduced crystal clear and assertively via the huge line array systems of the arenas without hurting the ears.

Audio Production.
Unlike classic sound design for TV or smartphones, tour audio must be optimized for huge line-array speaker systems in arenas. The sub-bass must be extremely controlled to avoid booming, and the sound effects must clearly assert themselves against the loud background noise (cheering fans).
