Phone announcements
and on-hold.
The first impression of your company is often a voice on the phone. We produce greetings, on-hold messages, IVR menus and after-hours announcements, with professional voice talent, fitting music and finished files in the format your phone system needs.
Also known as: phone greeting, voicemail greeting, on-hold music, IVR voice prompts, telephone voice-over.
Request phone announcements →On the phone, your brand is heard first.
Anyone who calls you hears an announcement first and, when every line is busy, the on-hold loop. If that sounds like a computer voice and stock music, the whole company comes across that way. A well-spoken announcement with music that fits turns the waiting time into a moment where people recognise you.
If your brand already has a sound logo or its own brand music, we build both into the on-hold loop. Your hotline then sounds like your commercial. More on the sound logo page.
What we produce for
your phone system.
Greeting
The first message callers hear. Short, friendly and with your company name stressed correctly. It can open with your sound logo.
On-hold messages
Messages that inform callers instead of annoying them: pointers to your website, opening hours or offers, alternating with music.
On-hold music
Music that fits your brand, with usage rights cleared in advance. Composed for you or licensed, and mixed for the phone line so it does not sound muffled.
IVR menu
The prompts for your phone menu, such as “For sales, press 1”. We help with the menu structure so callers reach the right place quickly.
After-hours announcements
Evenings, weekends, public holidays, company closures: we record every variant in one session, so later you only switch over.
Multilingual announcements
Announcements in 40+ languages with native speakers. Every version is produced with the same sound, so they all belong together.
From script to finished announcement.
Four steps, one point of contact.
Script
Send us your scripts, or we write them with you. We check length, pronunciation of names and the order of the menu.
Voice
You get a selection of voice talent with samples and decide which voice fits your company.
Recording and music
Directed recording in our studios in Frankfurt, Cologne or Berlin, or remotely. Plus the music and, if you like, your sound logo.
Delivery
Finished files in your system's format, for example 8 kHz WAV for VoIP phone systems such as 3CX, Starface, Microsoft Teams or Fritz!Box.
Hotlines, law firms, service centres.
Big brands need phone announcements as much as small businesses. Most requests come from these areas:
Companies with hotlines and service centres. Multi-level IVR menus, multilingual and with the same sound for years.
Law firms, practices and service providers. A calm, clear greeting plus announcements for opening hours and holidays.
Brands with a sound logo. The on-hold loop as one more place where people hear the brand.
Agencies and telecom providers. Announcements for their clients, in series and at consistent quality.
Frequently asked
questions.
It depends on the amount of text, the number of languages and the music. A single greeting is a different job from a full IVR menu in three languages. You get a quote in advance that includes voice fees and usage rights.
In Germany, GEMA usually charges fees for on-hold music written by its members, and other countries have similar rules. We tell you in advance what applies to your music and offer music with rights cleared for on-hold use.
Whatever your phone system needs. Often that is WAV at 8 kHz, 16 bit, mono; some systems take MP3. If you are not sure what yours requires, tell us the model and we will find out.
Yes. We check them for length and clarity before recording and suggest changes where a sentence is hard to follow on the phone.
That depends on scope and voice talent. We agree the date in the first call. If you need it urgently, say so in your request.
Yes. As a sound agency we produce voice, music and sound logo ourselves, so your hotline sounds like the rest of your brand.
Your hotline,
well spoken.
Send us your scripts, the languages you need and the model of your phone system. We will get back to you within 24 hours.
