The idea
Money you can watch melt.
The message: with interest rates near zero, savings in the bank slowly lose value, like a block of ice in the summer heat. Deutsche Bank wanted to move more people from saving to investing.
The figure came from Bundesbank data. It was shown in the middle of Frankfurt, accompanied by films documenting the day: set-up, interim states, melt.
